About

I'm an illustrator and logo & identity designer. I like combining my skills as an illustrator to create a stronger and more concise identity for my clients, one that tells a story of who they are and how they help.
I've worked with agencies and clients in Canada and internationally, and my focus is on creating illustrations for organizations that work to preserve wildlife.
Ormiga is named after the Spanish word for ant (hormiga: h removed for phonetic reasons), and it's a tribute to the incredible creatures that ants are and their positive impact on the ecosystem. Although ants work in groups and in communities, Ormiga Creative is a solo enterprise, which enables me to give a more personal touch to my work towards my clients, as well as give them the attention they need.
As a naturally curious person, and one who likes to improve and add new skills to my belt that would further benefit my clients, I'm always looking to learn more and improve. I am currently taking lettering, motion graphics, and art licensing courses to offer a wider variety of skills to clients.
To learn more about the services I provide, or if you want to commission my art, you can email me or visit Ormiga Creative, the parent website of Ormiga Design.
I launched the Ormiga Designs shop back in 2019 because I wanted to bring the love of animals to those who admire the beauty of wildlife. I also aim to breach the gap between the animal world and humans, because we are all connected, and there's so much we can learn from animals.
On occasion, I will work with organizations to create illustrations they are connected with and add to some products. A percentage of the profits from the sales will then go towards those organizations. Some of my other products will also donate a percentage of the profits to selected organizations. You can see which ones on the descriptions of the products.
